There are several ways to harmonize curtains in your kitchen or any other part of the house. For kitchen curtains it is easy to buy coordinating kitchen towels in matching colors and prints then use them to accent your window curtains. First, use a brass rod with curtain clips and run the curtain rings into the rod. Then, attach the rod to the wall with brackets or you can use an expandable rod inside your window frame for an inside mount. Now hang enough towels to cover your window or turn a couple of them lengthwise to make side panels, then use a third towel to fold over your curtain rod to hang in the center of the window. These fancy window covers are easy and inexpensive to make. For a unique lacey look thread some lace placemats through your curtain rod and use them as a type of valance over your curtains. You can also use a pretty scarf or linens to dress up your window coverings. Cheap curtains and some kitchen towels and few other accessories can help you create a masterpiece for your kitchen window.
